This Privacy Policy describes how Trasla Travel & Tour, S.R.L., referred to as “Trasla,” “we,” “us” or “our,” handles personal information connected with rides.traslatravel.com, our private transportation services and related customer communications.

It applies when you browse the website, request a quotation, make or manage a reservation, contact support, communicate by email or messaging service, or travel as a passenger on a booking coordinated by Trasla.

Some linked websites, payment services, airport products or partner platforms have their own privacy policies. Their handling of information is governed by their policies when they act independently from Trasla.

02

  • Flight and accommodation details: airline, flight number, airport, terminal information when available, hotel, resort, villa, vacation rental or other destination information.
  • Payment and transaction information: selected payment method, payment status, amount, currency, transaction reference and limited billing details supplied by the payment provider. • Communications: emails, messages, call notes, support requests, feedback, complaints and information submitted with them.
Please share only what is necessary. Do not send passport numbers, medical records, card credentials or other highly sensitive information unless we specifically request it through an appropriate channel and it is necessary for the service.
03

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the website, our systems and service providers may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, language, operating system, referring page, pages visited, session timestamps, error logs and interactions with website features.

Cookies, local storage and similar technologies may support essential website functions, security, booking continuity, preferences, performance measurement and—when enabled—analytics or marketing. Information generated by embedded maps, review widgets, payment components or other third-party features may also be received directly by their providers.

04

How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • prepare quotations and determine available routes, vehicle capacity and pricing;
  • create, confirm, modify, dispatch and complete reservations;
  • coordinate airport pickup, flight-aware arrival timing, drivers and destination access;
  • process payments, record payment status, issue receipts and manage refunds or disputes;
  • communicate confirmations, reminders, pickup instructions, operational changes and support responses;
  • coordinate child seats, accessibility needs, additional luggage, personalized arrivals and other requested extras;
  • prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents and unauthorized transactions;
  • maintain records, resolve complaints and establish or defend legal claims;
  • improve our website, booking process, fleet planning, customer support and service quality; and
  • comply with tax, accounting, consumer protection, transportation and other legal obligations.
05

Reasons We Process Information

Depending on the context and applicable law, we process information because it is necessary to take steps requested before a booking, perform the transportation agreement, satisfy legal obligations, protect passengers and our systems, pursue legitimate operational interests, or because you have given consent.

Legitimate operational interests may include customer service, fraud prevention, service improvement, network and website security, business administration and resolving disputes. When consent is the appropriate basis, you may withdraw it for future processing through the contact information below, subject to processing that remains necessary or legally permitted.

06

Information About Other Passengers

If you make a booking for another person, family, group, company or travel customer, you are responsible for providing accurate information and ensuring that you are authorized to share it. You should make this policy available to the affected passengers.

Travel agencies, accommodation providers, marketplaces and other booking partners may send us passenger information to perform a requested service. We handle that information for reservation and operational purposes, while the partner remains responsible for its own collection and privacy practices.

07

How and When Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation. We may share appropriate information with:

  • Drivers, dispatchers and transportation operators that need passenger, route, schedule and contact information to perform the service.
  • Payment providers, banks and fraud-prevention services that authorize, process, refund or secure transactions.
  • Technology providers supporting website hosting, booking operations, maps, email, messaging, analytics, security, backups and customer support.
  • Special-service partners coordinating airport assistance, group logistics, requested extras or other products included in a reservation.
  • Professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary for accounting, insurance, legal advice, claims, regulatory duties, safety or lawful requests.
  • Business successors in connection with a legitimate merger, reorganization, financing or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.

We seek to limit shared information to what is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.

08

Service Providers and International Processing

Trasla operates in the Dominican Republic, while some website, communications, payment, cloud or booking providers may process information in other countries. Those locations may have privacy rules different from those in your place of residence.

When we select providers or transfer information for business operations, we use reasonable contractual, organizational or technical measures appropriate to the service and applicable requirements. Independent providers may process certain information under their own terms and privacy policies.

09

Cookies, Maps, Reviews and Similar Technologies

The website may use the following categories of technology:

  • Strictly necessary: security, network operation, form submission, booking steps, payment handoff and remembering essential session information.
  • Functional: preferences, location selections, maps, customer-support features and embedded content.
  • Performance and analytics: aggregated or device-level information used to understand traffic, errors and website performance.
  • Advertising or measurement: technologies used only when implemented and permitted under applicable consent requirements.

You can use browser controls to block or remove cookies. Disabling necessary technologies may prevent the booking engine, payment process, maps or other parts of the website from working correctly. Third-party tools such as map, review or payment widgets may apply their own privacy and cookie practices.

10

How Long We Keep Information

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including completing transportation, supporting customers, maintaining transaction and accounting records, addressing chargebacks or claims, preventing fraud and meeting legal obligations.

Retention periods differ according to the type of record, payment method, booking status, legal requirement and potential dispute period. When information is no longer required, we may delete it, securely destroy it or convert it into aggregated or de-identified information that no longer reasonably identifies an individual.

11

Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, secure website connections, account protection, backups, system monitoring and limiting operational access according to need.

No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers should protect their devices, booking references and account or payment credentials and should notify us if they suspect that booking communications have been compromised.

12

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may request access to personal information associated with you, correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, deletion or cancellation where appropriate, or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent for future processing when consent is the applicable basis.

These rights are commonly described in the Dominican Republic as rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition (ARCO). We may ask for information necessary to verify identity, locate the relevant records and protect the information from unauthorized disclosure.

You may opt out of non-essential promotional messages using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. Operational communications necessary for an active reservation—such as confirmation, pickup or safety information—cannot be disabled while we are required to administer that service.

To submit a request: email info@traslatravel.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and describe the information or right involved.
13

Children's Information

Our booking services are intended to be arranged by adults. We may receive limited information about a child—such as age range, passenger count or child-seat needs—when an adult provides it to coordinate family transportation safely.

We do not knowingly request that children submit reservations, payment information or direct inquiries without adult involvement. A parent or guardian who believes a child has supplied personal information improperly may contact us to request review and appropriate action.

14

Route Calculations and Automated Functions

The booking system may automatically use selected locations, zones, passenger and luggage counts, dates, vehicle availability or pricing rules to display routes, suitable vehicle categories and estimated or confirmed prices.

These operational calculations support the reservation process and are not intended to produce legal or similarly significant decisions about an individual. Contact us if the displayed route, capacity or price appears incorrect or if special circumstances require manual review.

16

Privacy Contact

For privacy questions or requests, provide your name, contact information and a clear description of the matter. When the request concerns a reservation, include the booking reference if available. Do not include full payment card credentials in an email or WhatsApp message.
